Unit Configuration

This guide will help you configure your property's settings correctly so that you can provide your guests with a personalized and efficient experience. Follow the steps described for each section of the Unit Setup menu and adjust the settings according to the specifics of your drive. Each choice will influence how the booking engine is perceived and used by visitors, ensuring optimal booking management and guest interactions.

 

  1. Navigate to Menu > Booking Engine
  2. From the menu displayed on the left side, open the Unit section.

 

Configure Unit

  1. Click on Configure Unit
  2. Complete each section in this menu:

 

Unit Type

This setting allows you to customize the displayed names based on the type of accommodation, providing an experience tailored to each property's needs.

  • If the property type is set as hotel, guesthouse, hostel, or motel, the term used for room types will be "room/rooms."
  • For other property types (such as apartments, cabins, villas, etc.), the names displayed in the Booking Engine will reflect these specifics.

 

Logo

Upload your property's logo.

📌 Note: Visual elements have a significant impact and are easy for people to remember.

The logo will be displayed in the booking engine and in the booking confirmation emails.

 

Color Scheme

Choose the color you want the booking engine to be displayed in.

 

Default Language

Select the default language in which the booking engine should be displayed.

 

Display Reviews

Choose whether to display reviews in the booking engine.

📌 Note: Keep in mind that reviews can influence guests' booking decisions. You can find more information about reviews [here].

Opt to display reviews so guests can see the experiences of others at your property. This creates realistic expectations and ensures satisfied guests at the end of their stay.

 

Check-in Hours

Select the time range during which check-in is accepted. This information will be displayed in the booking confirmation email.

Self Check-in - If you manage a property with self-check-in that allows guest arrivals at any time, set the "Check-in Hours" option to non-stop.

This approach offers guests the flexibility to check in anytime. However, it is important to mention that reservations made between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM must be booked for the previous date.

For example, if a guest wants to check in during the night of April 10th to 11th and it is already past midnight (April 11th), they will need to book for April 10th. This accurately reflects the requested overnight stay.

 

Check-out Hours

Select the time range by which check-out must be completed. This information will be displayed in the booking confirmation email.

 

Spoken Languages

Select the languages in which you can greet and interact with guests at your property.

 

YouTube Video

Add a representative video for your property. Upload the video to YouTube and paste the link in this section to make it available to guests.

 

Phone

The system retrieves the information entered in PMS. Check the number in Property Settings under the General section. This will be displayed in the booking engine.

 

WhatsApp

Choose whether to allow guests to contact you via WhatsApp at the provided phone number. If enabled, a WhatsApp icon will appear in the booking engine, which guests can click to send messages.

 

Website

The system retrieves the information entered in PMS. Check the number in Property Settings under the General section. This will be displayed in the booking engine.

 

Email Address

The system retrieves the information entered in PMS. Check the email in Property Settings under the General section. This will be displayed in the booking engine.

 

Tracking Code

This section is dedicated to tracking codes for the booking engine.

📌 Note: Create a tracking code to monitor the steps guests take and verify if they successfully complete their bookings.

To add a tracking code, open a ticket in the Support Center section, mentioning the complete tracking code attached as a text file and specifying where it should be added (head or body). A PynBooking representative will assist you.

 

After completing all the information, save the changes!
