Who they are
Adventure Lake Resort is the first accommodation located directly on the shore of Lake Firiza in Maramures. With just 4 rooms for a maximum of 12 guests, the place focuses on experiences, not volume: mountain hiking, climbing, e-bike trails, and paddle boarding on the lake.
The property is managed by Carina Talos, who built a unique concept where accommodation and adventure blend naturally. The isolated lakeside location is the main asset, but it also comes with serious operational challenges.
The challenge
When your property is in an isolated location on the shore of a mountain lake, you can't have a traditional reception with round-the-clock staff. Guests arrive at any hour, sometimes after hours of driving on mountain roads, and they need a simple, functional check-in process.
Beyond check-in logistics, seasonal staff changes frequently, and paper registration forms were a cumbersome process for both guests and the team. Carina needed a solution that would fully digitize the reception.

Adventure Lake Resort implemented the complete Pynbooking suite: PMS for operations management, Channel Manager for distribution across booking platforms, Booking Engine for direct bookings, and most importantly, GuestApp with digital check-in.
With GuestApp, guests complete registration forms online before arrival. They arrive at the resort and the check-in process is already done. No more waiting at a reception desk that, on the shore of Lake Firiza, wouldn't even make sense in a traditional format.
For seasonal staff, training on the new system is quick. The intuitive interface allows a new employee to become operational in very little time, without hundreds of pages of manuals.
