Who they are
Vatra Boiereasca brings together 4 traditional houses dating from the 1800s, located in Cacica, Bucovina. The property was opened in 2020 by Georgiana Pastrav, who was already managing a guesthouse in Suceava. The houses are authentic, with a story, but their isolated location comes with specific operational challenges.
The challenge
The distance of over 50 kilometers between home and the property turned every check into an expedition. Georgiana worked with a physical notebook, with diagrams drawn in pencil -- a system that worked at the guesthouse in Suceava, but became impossible for a remote location.
I quickly realized that at Vatra Boiereasca, due to the distance, I wouldn't always be able to be there and would have to ask for information by phone.
Every piece of information -- who's coming, when, which room is available -- had to be obtained through phone calls. The risk of errors was enormous, and scaling was impossible without digitization.
The solution
Georgiana discovered Pynbooking as a guest at other guesthouses -- in Viscri and at Colibita. She saw the system in action from the tourist's perspective and decided to implement it.
The adopted package was comprehensive:
