Who they are
Casa Tisaru is a special guesthouse in the village of Lepsa, Vrancea county, at the foot of the mountains. With 15 rooms and a capacity of 37 adults, it offers full board and half board services. It's no ordinary guesthouse: it won the Debut Award at the Architecture Biennale in 2002 and Margareta de Aur in 2004, 2006, and 2008.
The Solomon family took over Casa Tisaru in December 2020, and Mihaela Solomon assumed the manager role with the determination to carry forward the place's tradition of excellence.
The challenge
In the first year after taking over, reservations were managed on paper and in Excel. The online presence was limited to just two platforms: Travelminit and Turist Info. For an award-winning guesthouse with a reputation to protect, the risks were high.
And the inevitable happened: an overbooking incident that set off alarm bells.
It's important that guests have a positive experience. Any confusion affects our image.
Mihaela understood she could no longer continue with improvised methods. A guesthouse with 15 rooms and multiple booking channels needs a professional system that synchronizes everything automatically.
The solution
Casa Tisaru implemented Pynbooking fully: PMS for property management, Channel Manager for automatic availability synchronization, Booking Engine for direct reservations, and GuestApp for guest communication.
An important step was adding Booking.com through the Channel Manager — the world's largest distribution channel, which they previously didn't have access to. The online presence expanded significantly, bringing new visibility to the guesthouse.
Invoicing, which was previously done manually, was also automated through the system. For a guesthouse with full board and half board options, where each guest has a different plan, automating invoicing enormously simplified daily operations.

- Digital guest communication — GuestApp modernizes pre and post-stay interactions
