Who they are
Cosama Village is an ensemble of 5 cottages located on the outskirts of Sighisoara, opened in 2017. Ana Sandolache manages everything on her own -- no employees, no physical reception. It's the definition of solo management in hospitality: from cleaning to guest communication, from bookings to accounting.
The challenge
In 2021, Ana decided to dedicate herself 100% to managing the property. The daily volume of tasks grew rapidly, and the lack of a management system had become a real problem.
I need technology to handle the daily volume. I wanted the administration not to take up all my time.
Without dedicated software, each booking meant manual checks, individual responses, and the constant risk of overlaps. For a single person doing absolutely everything, time lost on administration was time stolen from the experience offered to guests.
The solution
Ana discovered Pynbooking while researching online a similar guesthouse -- a "hidden village in Transylvania" -- and noticed they used the platform. She decided to try it.
Pynbooking has a simple initial setup that doesn't require technical skills.
The implementation was straightforward: the PMS for managing bookings and a Booking Engine integrated into her own website. Invoices are issued directly from Pynbooking and exported to accounting, eliminating yet another manual step from the daily routine.

- 60% of bookings come directly through the website via Booking Engine
- 40% through Booking.com -- a healthy mix that reduces dependency on a single platform
- Significantly lower commissions thanks to the high share of direct bookings
- Integrated invoicing -- invoices are issued from Pynbooking and exported directly to accounting
- Functional solo management -- Ana continues to manage on her own, but with a greatly reduced manual workload
What's next
With 60% direct bookings already, Cosama Village demonstrates that even a small property managed by a single person can reduce OTA dependency. The next natural step is activating GuestApp to also automate guest communication before and after the stay.
